Thanks to natural stain resistance, My Mats stay fresh even after repeated washes and heavy use. They effectively trap dirt, dust, and mud to protect your flooring—and are fully washable at 30°C.

Care Instructions; 
Follow these simple guidelines to keep your My Mat looking and performing its best:

Washing & Drying

Wash only when necessary.

New mats may shed excess cotton at first. This is normal and will stop after a few brushes or washes.

To save water, let mud and dirt dry, then simply brush it away.

For longer life: place the mat in a cotton pillowcase and machine wash on a quick cotton cycle at 30°C with a low spin speed.

Before washing, remove excess cotton, mud, and debris by brushing or vacuuming.

Check your washing machine’s filter regularly—excess cotton may appear there.

❌ Do not use biological washing detergent (may fade colour).

❌ Do not use fabric conditioner (reduces performance).

Dry naturally: flat, on an Aga rail, or line dry.

✅ Optional: tumble dry on a cool setting for 10 minutes to plush the pile.

What to Avoid

Never place My Mat on a damp floor.

Never tumble dry on a high heat setting for a long period.

Avoid prolonged direct sunlight (colour may fade, as with any soft furnishings).

Do not leave a steam cleaner on the mat for too long—this may crumple the backing.

For rugs too large to fit in your washing machine, spot wash only.

Floor Care Advice

My Mats are designed not to leave marks. However, a combination of cleaning products, sunlight, and heat may affect or discolour certain flooring types when covered.

Lift the mat frequently to clean and air the floor underneath.

Our backing is natural-based, and free from vinyl and PVC.

For specialist flooring, please check with the manufacturer before using any rubber-backed mat.
